Explainable AI for Early Breast Cancer Recurrence
As a Research Assistant at American University, I am researching how XAI techniques can improve transparency in predicting early-stage breast cancer recurrence. The project tests feature importance by applying methods such as SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanations) to machine learning models. My role focuses on evaluating how well these approaches highlight influential clinical features, balancing predictive accuracy with interpretability to make AI results more useful for healthcare professionals.
VR Travel Visualizer
I’m developing a virtual reality travel visualizer that scans everyday purchase logos to show how small expenses impact long-term travel goals. Instead of abstract numbers, users see their budget changes in a visual, immersive format, making financial trade-offs easier to understand. This project blends XR, interaction design, and behavioral insight to reimagine how we plan and achieve experiences like travel.

A collaborative game project exploring how connection-building can reduce social anxiety. The game visualizes relationships as threads, where forming new ties reduces anxiety and empowers the player to navigate the environment.
Key Features
Designed and implemented string-based visualization system to represent social connections.

Developed player movement and environmental interactions in Unity.
Prototyped core systems demonstrating how mechanics can model emotional states.
My Role
Collaborated with a team (Paul Kipp and Jacob Laden Guindon). I focused on designing and implementing mechanics, visualization systems, and Unity integrations.

Hallucinate

A stealth-platformer prototype built in Unity exploring resource tradeoffs and adaptive strategy through hallucination mechanics. Players manage limited abilities to evade detection and progress through environments.

Designed and implemented hallucination system where players choose between immediate or delayed ability use.
Built inventory integration allowing stored hallucinations to be activated later at higher costs.
Developed UI panels for ability selection and resource management.

Gaussian Splatter x Unity VFX

Visual Asset Design
Overview
Experience creating 2D and 3D assets for interactive projects, covering the full production pipeline from modeling and sculpting to animation. Skilled in Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, and Adobe Photoshop, with work that spans 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and pixel art creation. These skills strengthen my ability to contribute to both the technical and visual sides of interactive media.
